For over a century, Fuglsang Manor served as a retreat for Danish visual artists and composers. Today, the manor house is a well-preserved manor home, where history can be felt in the listed buildings and the surrounding scenic landscape.
Thanks to support from a number of foundations, the Classen Fideicommis has restored Fuglsang as a unique centre for scientific contemplation and exchange of ideas. At the same time, we have opened the manor house to private guests so that they can experience this unique piece of Danish history.

Accommodation at Fuglsang Herregaard
Experience an unforgettable stay at Fuglsang Herregaard, where history and comfort meet in beautiful, scenic surroundings. Choose to stay in the newly restored main building, which offers historic décor and modern facilities, or enjoy a stay in the charming original annex “Reden” from the 1960s, idyllically located in Fuglsang Garden, just a stone's throw from the manor.
For an extra unique experience, you can rent the old gardener's cottage, which has direct access to the beautiful garden and offers both peace and privacy. Whatever you choose, you can look forward to a peaceful and exclusive atmosphere where history connects to the present.

Stay at Fuglsang Herregaard
When you book one of our tailor-made stays at Fuglsang Herregaard, we do everything to spoil you. You can choose to stay in the newly restored main building in our historic and tastefully decorated rooms or in the annex “Reden”, which is idyllically located in Fuglsang Garden. All rooms have their own shower and toilet.
Dinner is served in the charming, original living rooms, where the chef has created a unique menu for you based on the season's best local produce. It's an experience where history, cosiness and gastronomy come together.
Before Christmas Get-away
Get a fantastic start to 2025 with a pampering Winter Stay. Winter can be long, cold, dark and a bit dreary. If you love dining experiences in atmospheric surroundings, a winter stay at a manor house is exactly what you need.
Pre-dinner drink and the chef's 5 selected servings in Restaurant ViGGo N, accommodation and delicious homemade breakfast.
Staying at Herregaard
We welcome you with coffee/tea and sweets from 15:00 in one of our cosy living rooms. If the weather is nice, we recommend a walk in our beautiful garden or you can choose to relax with a good book before dinner.

Both the protected landscape, Skejten, and the elegant living rooms and well-furnished rooms of the old manor house provide ample opportunity for contemplation and socialising. Here you can find inner peace, get on with your projects or recharge for new tasks.
We also facilitate symposia and conferences for up to 100 people. This applies to the practical organisation as well as catering and accommodation. And finally, you are welcome to organise meetings and courses in Fuglsang's tranquil and atmospheric surroundings.
Day meetings
A day meeting will typically have a duration of 6-8 hours. The meeting includes breakfast and lunch and ends in the afternoon.

Discounts and grants for educational institutions
Educational institutions that have entered into an agreement with Fuglsang Herregaard can obtain the following discounts and subsidies:
- 50% discount on the accommodation rate. Talk to us about it when you book or request a quote.
- 50% subsidy for bus transport from the institution to Fuglsang Herregaard for groups of min. 8 people and for train tickets to Nykøbing F station and bus or taxi to Fuglsang.
Fuglsang Herregaard offers retreats in the annex “Reden” and in the manor's main building, which was remodelled in 2018-2019 to meet modern expectations.
